Supportive Housing
We provide permanent homes for 128 adults in Ottawa who have experienced homelessness — by making rent deeply affordable and providing the on-site support our tenants need to manage day-to-day life.
Your home for as long as you need.
In the 35 years we’ve been operating in Ottawa, we’ve discovered that one of the key success factors in people keeping their homes is access to help with the practical, day-to-day demands of renting a home.
Many of the tenants in our four Ottawa communities represent some of the most marginalized in our community, some of whom live with complex mental and/or physical health challenges.
Our Supportive Housing staff members work hard to deliver daily on-site support to make sure our tenants maintain stable housing and enjoy a better quality of life. These supports can include things like:
- Help access food and meals
- Social and skill-building community activities
- Support in completing taxes and paperwork
- Help in accessing other services and resources, including primary care and substance use supports
- Mental health support
- 24/7 staff or peer support
Our vision is for every Options Housing tenant to remain housed, so we keep rent affordable by adjusting it based on income (even if it fluctuates), and we provide tenancy agreements so our clients know they can call this place home.
For as long as they need.
